Though overall a very basic game, the ball physics of Tennis were sophisticated for the time and outmatch some games made years later.

This Tennis game is about as stripped-down and basic as it gets, but it ends up being more fun that games released two or three generations later! Mostly this is due to epic ball physics for the time – it manages to feel very real in spite of the simple graphics. There are no different types of swings, and you can’t really place the ball other than the direction you happen to be moving when you hit it, but the matches get intense with a challenging computer opponent that is just capable enough to keep the game interesting without being impossible. Two human players can take each other on as well.
