Original Release: Toemiland, Famicom, 1985
A crummy pachinko game opportunistically (and inexpertly) forced on the market by one of Japan’s biggest music companies of the 80s and 90s, EMI Music
PachiCom (NES, Toemiland, 1985)

They wasted no time getting pachinko on the Famicom with EMI Music game branch Toemiland’s 1985 PachiCom. But this being an early release for the system, and apparently made with little budget or development time, it’s really not much more sophisticated than an Atari 2600 game and seems kinda pointless.
I definitely can’t see how it will scratch the itch of pachinko addicts as there are no stakes and nothing on the line. The game presents you with two “modes”, which seem identical except in how they handle the timer. Mode A just seems to run forever as the time counts upward, Mode B has the timer run down, but it’s so long (999999 seconds, or about 11 days of real time) good luck actually making it to the end. There are “high score” slots which I guess are registered if the timer actually runs out, you’d have to be psycho to leave the game on for a week and a half though.
The best part of the game is an amusing rant from a programmer hidden in the code, which indicates that the executives slavedrove the team and didn’t put any money into the project, so they pretty much just intentionally released a piece of crap in retaliation. “GOU you fool! This is not a true pachinko sound!”
