This is about as stripped-down a golf game as you’re going to see short of maybe the Atari 2600 era, more basic than even NES and Game Boy titles.
Unfortunately, it isn’t simple in a good way. Like all these old 2D golf titles, most of it is fooling around with the game to get a feel for its sense of physics and distance and all that. The lack of feedback here makes this process more annoying than usual (and it’s often pretty annoying). And there doesn’t seem to be much reward beyond simple courses, limited gameplay modes and Moon Runes.
