The second Trump game adds the interior of the actual casino property, but it doesn’t end up adding much to the experience

The Trump Castle follow-up makes things a little more elaborate with a tacked-on exploration element that lets you wander about the casino randomly, taking a peek at the amenities and barging into random hotel rooms. There seems to be no purpose to any of this, though, other than as a rather chintzy advert for the property (which went defunct some time ago but still exists structurally as the Golden Nugget).
You start by rolling a new character, and can actually create a party of four (each with their own $1,000 starting bankroll) that you can swap between at each of the games. I guess you could possibly game roulette and craps this way but I didn’t care to try ’cause there’s no point to playing this. I also couldn’t take the games long enough to even exhaust the $1,000 bankroll to see if The Donald throws you out (“You’re a losa! You have to go back!”).
Games look a little different but have changed little from the prequel. Slots and poker still have small max bets and needlessly slow animations. The slots also now have some weird beast roar sound for the reel spin, no idea what was going on there. The bet process for craps and roulette is now so confusing I couldn’t actually figure out how to put money on the table.
This really seems like the clunky old game code from the first title tied together by a crappy PowerPoint interface. The most fun thing about it is actually roaming around the casino and clicking on people for their random quips and poorly digitized graphics. The music is absolutely awful too. Back in the day the game came with a free hotel stay voucher though, I guess if you had been planning a trip to Atlantic City anyway then it was basically a free pickup for you.
