Original Release: Konami, 2017

First released to live casinos in 2017 and starting to appear online in 2020, Radiant Witch follows Konami’s classic 3×5 formula but adds some new stuff – primarily four sizes of jackpots and the “Money Galaxy” mode (Konami’s “link” series that appeared in several games in the late ’10s, meant to emulate the Lightning Link where the biggest “maxi” jackpot is a progressive linked between multiple machines and bonus symbols “stick” and reset your spin counter during the bonus mode).
As with all these elaborate video slots circa the 2000s, it’s a little hard to explain all its intertwined goofy gimmicks but the long and short of it is that it’s another game where you’re hanging in for jackpots to catch up after usually running a series of dead spins and trivial fractional wins. The bonus modes and free spins aren’t consistently helpful in catching you up, even the Money Galaxy mode returns like 10x-20x your wager amount (but after you’ve probably spun 100x and lost a bunch already on that).
I kinda like the “sexy witch” theme and the deep red and purple color palette, but as with most Konami slots the graphics and presentation kinda take second seat to getting you to keep spinning quickly; the only time the action really slows down is when you hit upon some bonus spins.
