Yet another Egyptian slot (despite what the name would indicate) with little to distinguish itself

The name naturally makes you think this is gonna be a zombie-fest, but it actually turns out to be a Mummy knockoff in terms of theming.
Like Pragmatic’s other big action movie knockoff series, John Hunter, it’s got a bo-ring bootleg Indiana Jones main character (this time looking like that one guy you sat next to in college, what was his name). This seems to have gotten less of a budget put into it than John Hunter though, as you’re now dealing with monotone music and almost nothing for bonus features.
The one big bonus is the requisite set of free spins, here triggered by some ancient tome scatter symbol that also functions as a wild when it pops up. You need at least three (any position) to nab the free spins, but instead of granting more free spins, having more of them pop instead increases your win multiplier. You always get 10 free spins, but they can also re-trigger. The free spins are also the sole bonus feature; during this mode one of the normal symbols is randomly transformed into a special expanding symbol which will “stick” if you get three in a vertical line. This makes it technically possible, though extremely rare, to get a full-screen win which is the game’s biggest prize.
Since the game is so simple you might assume it’s a grinder friendly to low rollers, especially with a well-over-96% advertised RTP. It’s really pretty volatile, though, you’re looking at a bunch of dead spins and basically hoping you re-trigger several times in the bonus spins to eventually build up a screen-filling win. On my $250 test run ($1 spins) I would have lost about $100 at the end if I hadn’t been saved by a lucky free spin series paying out $85 by itself.
